Operational Head Office Fire Extinguishing Equipment Testing and Inspection
Maintenance and checking of fire extinguishers is very important. Not only to comply with applicable regulations, but also with regard to potential losses caused if fire extinguishers cannot work optimally. The losses that occur are not only property / goods, but also psychological victims and lives are at stake. Carrying out checks must also be carried out by people who are experts and have special certificates.
On Monday, September 20,
2021, SSI's operational head office, Manggala Pakarti Building, Jalan Arterial
Jorr No. 70, Jati Melati, Pondok Melati, Bekasi carried out annual testing and
inspection of fire extinguishers. Bekasi City firefighters were invited to be
experts and certified to carry out these testing and inspection activities. Not
to forget the SSI Jatiwarna Management Building team as the unit that manages
the daily office building equipment to join.
In this activity, all fire
extinguishers were tested and checked, such as a Light Fire Extinguisher
(APAR), Portable Fire Extinguisher, Thermatic System (Sprinkler System) or
Thermatic Fire Extinguisher which is an Automatic Fire Extinguisher, Hydrant
which is a Fire Extinguisher. which serves as a source of water to extinguish
the fire in the event of a fire as well as several other supporting equipment.
Don't forget to check the expiration date of equipment that has a period of
use.
The activity was closed with
a discussion and question and answer session between the Bekasi City Fire
Department and the activity participants from SSI. An opportunity that must be
used to broaden the understanding of the experts.
"This is an annual
activity that must be carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
and to ensure that the fire fighting equipment of the SSI operational office is
functioning properly," explained Janhari Sulistiyanto, Manager of the
Legal Unit in charge of preparing the permit application and administering the
activity.

company must be balanced by still paying attention to work safety. So that the
