Telkom Metra Takes Over PT SSI Shares
PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) through its subsidiary, PT Multimedia Nusantara (Telkom Metra) officially acquired 51% shares of PT Swadharma Sarana Informatika (SSI). Telkom presents a new business focus in Banking Application Services. By observing the growth in transaction value in the financial service infrastructure that continues to increase consistently, Telkom is conducting a transfer link business. This focus aims to strengthen capabilities in Finance & Banking solutions by providing end-to-end ICT solutions for the banking, finance, and insurance industries.
SSI has been in the cash management and ATM machine business since 1996, and currently manages more than 22 thousand ATMs. SSI provides ATM Cash Replenish Service, ATM First Line Maintenance, ATM Second Line Maintenance, and Cash in Transit Service.
Cash withdrawals at ATMs and bank transfers are the dominant transactions. Then the growth of the service market managed by ATMs has continued to increase since 2016. So to strengthen the goal of providing end-to-end ICT solutions for the banking, finance and insurance industries, Telkom has acquired SSI.
With this acquisition process, Telkom Metra will optimize SSI which already has the capabilities, products and solutions that support the financial business of Bank Himbara and other national banks, so that the services provided are expected to be more optimal.
