National Film Day is
celebrated on March 30 each year. This year, the commemoration of National Film
Day has entered its 71st year, as well as the 100th anniversary of the birth of
an Indonesian film figure with the theme "100 Years of Usmar Ismail."

Film Day on March 30 started because it was the first day of shooting for the
film Darah dan Do'a or Long March of Siliwangi directed by H. Usmar Ismail.
