Tips for Maintaining Stamina & Concentration While Fasting
It doesn't feel
like Ramadan is coming soon. It is obligatory for Muslims who can afford to
fast during the month of Ramadan. Even though we are fasting, it is not a
reason to reduce our duties and responsibilities in working optimally. The
editor wants to share some tips to keep your stamina fit and your concentration
to work optimally while fasting.
1. Avoid
Dehydration
Dehydration can
cause concentration to drop. Make sure you keep drinking enough water at least
6-8 glasses per day from iftar to sahur.
2. Reduce Sweet
& Oily Foods
Sugar contains
calories that are quite high and can increase blood sugar levels. Meanwhile,
oily or fatty foods can cause stomach acid. So, it's good to reduce both types
of food, especially in the month of fasting.
3. Eat Enough at
Sahur & Iftar
Overeating can
actually slow down digestion and can cause indigestion.
4. Maintain Vitamin
Intake & Consumption
Maintain a
balanced diet and consume foods rich in fiber. Foods rich in fiber will be
absorbed slowly by the body. As a result, you will feel full longer. And take
vitamins to help the body's immune system stay optimal
5. Sports
Keeping
exercising during fasting is important to keep the body healthy. Exercise at a
low intensity so you don't get tired and exercise should be done before
breaking the fast.
Hopefully in the
month of Ramadan that is coming soon we will all be given health, long life,
and useful time for ourselves, family and others. Amen
